Our Blog Posts:

  • Social Change Wheel 2.0. Our context has changed dramatically after COVID-19 as distance became a primary factor in our social lives, our learning design, and our partnerships. The direct service that we often rely on will be more difficult and in some cases not possible in the coming year. With that in mind, we created the Social Change Wheel 2.0 Toolkit, which includes updated visuals, definitions, and planning resources with the goal of helping our network think creatively about how to sustain partnerships and expand community-engaged learning.
  • Community-Campus Partnerships During COVID-19. This post centers on the findings of our 2018 report “Perceptions of Partnership: A study on nonprofit and higher education collaboration.” We examined what living out those findings means in this moment and how we can leverage the opportunities it presents to make partnerships even stronger.
  • Student Needs During COVID-19. This post offers ideas and resources on meeting students’ basic needs insecurity during COVID-19. This content has been compiled in response to our ongoing conversations with member campuses and community partners.
  • Coronavirus: How are our members responding? We have created links to each of our member campuses’ official COVID-19 responses.
  • Coronavirus and the Engaged Campus. As the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread, higher education institutions are taking steps to protect their students, employees, and communities. These steps have unique implications for community-engaged campuses trying to meet the civic mission of higher education. Iowa & Minnesota Campus Compact are gathering resources to help member campuses consider these implications.
  • Compact Members Mobilizing for Communities in a Time of Crisis. National Campus Compact created this post highlighting member campuses responses across the country that highlight the value of higher education in ongoing mutual aid efforts.
